Members of the Supervisory Board of the Metalfer Group played a prominent role at the prestigious ESG Adria Summit, which took place from April 24 to 26, 2024, in Porto Montenegro. The summit convened leading business executives, high-level government representatives, international organizations, civil society advocates, and sustainability experts from the Adria region and beyond.
Organized by Sustineri Partners and Porto Montenegro, in collaboration with the Government of Montenegro and under the auspices of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, the summit focused on enhancing dialogue and practices in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas. This year, the summit expanded its reach, building on the success of the inaugural major regional event dedicated to sustainable development held in 2023. Over 500 participants, including more than 150 companies, government entities, and other organizations, deliberated on the implications of ESG standards for “The Business of the Future” in the Western Balkans.
The Metalfer Group’s Supervisory Board actively engaged in key discussions, panels, and workshops addressing practical regional challenges and opportunities for setting and achieving ESG goals in compliance with regulatory requirements. Their participation at the summit clearly demonstrates Metalfer Group’s commitment to sustainable business practices and a proactive approach in achieving higher standards in environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
The summit, themed “Act Now for a Sustainable Tomorrow,” identified and discussed new solutions, initiatives, and investments that can accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future, affirming Metalfer Group’s leading role in promoting the ESG agenda in the Adria region and beyond. This represents another step forward in our mission to be pioneers in achieving sustainable and responsible business practices.
